Event Name Information Tour of Latest Development Projects in Osaka

Outline We have arranged an information tour of the latest development projects in Osaka.
This is a unique opportunity to visit the Yumeshima first phase development area and other development areas that are usually not open to the public. We hope to see you on the tour.

Part 1: 14：00～14：50
In spring 2013, Umekita Grand Front Osaka will open on the first phase development area of 7 hectares on the north side of JR Osaka Station, whose remodeling was just completed last month.
You will have an opportunity to see the current status of this development project from the PR Center, which overlooks the Umekita area. This project is transforming the area into the gateway from Osaka and the Kansai Area to Asia and the world as the base for the accumulation of businesses, technologies and information and for creative development.

Part 2: 15：00～17：30
In the Osaka Bay Area also known as "Panel Bay" or "Battery Bay" is Hanshin Harbor, a strategic harbor for handling containers for international cargo. In the Yumeshima Area near the center of the Bay Area large-scale industrial and logistics land lots（approx 40ha） will be provided from fiscal 2012.
During the tour, you will have the opportunity to look over the Osaka Bay Area from the roof top deck of the 55-story building of Osaka Prefectural Government Sakishima Building, and then visit by minicoach the three islands being developed for commercial sale of the lots.

Timetable: 3:00 PM Departure from Grand Front Osaka

  3:40 PM Explanation and view of the waterfront development area from the top floor of Osaka Prefectural Government Sakishima Building

  4:20 PM Visit to Sakishima, Yumeshima and Maishima by minicoach
(including a short walk in the first phase development area at
Yumeshima)
  5:30 PM Arrival at JR Osaka Station

Global Venture Habitat Osaka is the meeting place for global corporations born in Kansai
and global corporations interested in Kansai. Please enjoy the reception afterwards.

Program Immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake, the City of Osaka deployed firefighting, medical, other emergency response teams and provided other assistance for people in affected areas. In addition, the City has supported companies affected by the earthquake to operate their businesses without disruption. This seminar will be held in line with such efforts to highlight investment opportunities in Osaka and the Kansai region, the City's policies for supporting companies.
