We will host a webinar for foreign companies and entrepreneurs considering entering and establishing a presence in the Osaka and Kansai market. The seminar will provide a comprehensive overview of Osaka’s business environment, the challenges foreign companies may face when entering the Japanese market and how to address them, as well as the legal procedures required to start a business. It will also cover the requirements and application process for the Business Manager visa. Through case studies from companies that have already established operations in Osaka, participants will gain a wide range of up-to-date and practical insights.

  • Andy Chung is a venture builder working at the intersection of sustainability, technology, hospitality, education and international business development.
    His work focuses on turning intellectual property and early-stage ideas into practical ventures, market pilots and collaboration opportunities. With experience across Hong Kong, Japan, Australia and Asia, Andy has supported initiatives in ESG learning, sustainability decision-making, immersive hospitality training and Japan market development.
    Through TAKABAMA KK, he is now focused on building from Osaka as a practical base for collaboration between Japan, Asia and the wider world.

  • He began his career at an international IP law firm in Thailand and joined GVA Law Office (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in 2019, advising both domestic and international clients on corporate law, regulatory compliance, and labor matters. In 2023, he relocated to Osaka while continuing his roles in GVA’s Thailand and Japan offices. On December 1, 2024, he became the first Thai-qualified lawyer registered as a Foreign Registered Lawyer (Gaikokuho Jimu Bengoshi) in Japan.
