Interview with Ground Trading LLC – Taiwanese Food Trading Company Establishes Osaka Subsidiary

Could you introduce your company and the services you offer?

Ground Trading LLC is the Japan subsidiary of Ground Biotech Co., Ltd., a Taiwan-based company specialising in integrated food manufacturing, snack and seasoning development, and international food trading. The Group operates multiple subsidiaries and proprietary food factories across Taiwan, China, and Japan.

Its core business focuses on exporting food products from East Asia to markets across all five continents. To date, its export network spans more than 30 countries, including regions in Africa and South America.

The Osaka office, located within the ATC complex, serves as a hub for exporting Japan-made food and beverages, daily necessities, cosmetics, home appliances, and anime-related products that embody Japanese culture and craftsmanship.

What were the reasons for choosing Osaka as your business location?

Compared with Tokyo, Osaka offers a more comprehensive and entrepreneur-friendly business support environment.

From the perspective of the fast-moving consumer goods industry, Osaka functions as a central logistics hub connecting manufacturing sites throughout Japan, providing a significant cost advantage.

In addition, its close geographical proximity to Taiwan enables efficient communication and operational management. Taking these factors into account, Osaka was selected as the optimal location for our Japan office.
